Event Info: Earning a certificate and participating in the commencement ceremonies are the capstone of a student's hard work and dedication. Join graduates and their families in celebrating the class of 2026!

  • Morning session: Healthcare Ceremony
    • Doors open: 10 AM
    • Event starts: 11 AM
  • Afternoon session: Apprenticeships, Services, Technology, and Trades Ceremony
    • Doors open: 4 PM
    • Event starts: 5 PM

Location: UCCU Center

  • This event is open seating with no reserved seats for guests. 
  • Leave all non-essential items at home or in your vehicle.
    • Gifts, balloons, banners, food items are not permitted, even if they are gifts for your graduate. See more prohibited items listed below.

Bag Policy:

  • Small clutch 5" x 8" or smaller are permitted.
    • Limit 1 per person.
  • Medically necessary bags permitted after inspection.
  • ADA entrance located on West Entrance - Lower (Street) Level of UCCU Center.
  • All persons and bags are subject to search. UCCU Center reserves the right to inspect and remove any items as deemed necessary.

Venue Information:

  • NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK.
    • One sealed 20 oz water bottle or empty refillable water bottle permitted per person.
  • ARRIVE EARLY: Plan extra time to find parking, clear security and locate your seat before the start of the event.
  • METAL DETECTORS IN USE: All event attendees are required to clear security before entry. Be prepared by leaving any and all items possible at home. Any permissible bags will be checked prior to entry.
    • If you have a internal medical device that may be affected by a metal detector, alert event security for an alternate security screening.
  • ADA SERVICE ANIMALS: We welcome service animals defined by the Americans with Disabilities ACT (ADA) to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.
    Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are NOT considered service animals; and are NOT permitted inside UCCU Center or on campus at UVU.

Prohibited Items:

  • Balloons, banners, signs, confetti, confetti cannons
  • Articifical nosiemakers, whistles, drones, tripods.

    • For additional prohibited items please see prohibitied Items in the tab below. UCCU Center Management reserves the right to prohibit any item(s) as deemed necessary.
    • *All permissible bags are subject to search. The UCCU Center reserves the right to inspect and remove any packages or items that are not permissible in the venue.

  • For accessibility or assistance visit the Ticket Office through the West Entrance - Lower (Street) Level through the ADA Entrance.

Tailgating Information:

Thank you for joining us for your graduation event. Please review the below information and map to help everyone have an enjoyable experience while at UCCU Center.

Graduation Tailgate Map

  • Hold tailgate activites and congregate ONLY in the designated YELLOW area.
  • Keep ALL walkways, entrances and exits clear.
  • No chairs, tents, signs or tailgating in RED areas.

Parking at UCCU Center & UVU:

  • UCCU Center visitor lot is located on the West side of the venue, this lot is highlighted BLUE and is reserved for ADA parking.
  • Event parking is permitted in the following UVU lots on event days: L3, L5, L8, and L14. These lots are highlighted in YELLOW.
  • Overflow parking is located on the West side of I-15 in Lot W1, highlighted in PURPLE. When using the overflow lot, take the pedestrian bridge over I-15 for quick access to UCCU Center.
  • Parking in another lot may result in a citation.  If a citation is received, please contact UVU Parking Services at 801.863.8188 or parking@uvu.edu

Beat the congestion and take public transportation:

UTA makes access to UVU and UCCU Center as efficient as possible. Take the Frontrunner and exit at the stop directly East of the W1 parking lot. After exiting the FrontRunner, take the pedestrian bridge over I-15.

Utah Valley University and the UCCU Center consider the health and safety of our guests, fans, partners, and staff our top priority. If you are experiencing the symptoms of illness you should stay home. In accordance with CDC and Utah Health Department guidelines we recommend wearing a mask and washing your hands frequently.

Directions, Parking and Transportation

The UCCU Center is located in the heart of Utah County in the city of Orem on the campus of Utah Valley University. Just off Interstate-15 on exit 269 (University Parkway). Guests are permitted to park in parking lots L3, L5, L8, L14 and W1. Please review our parking guide for more information and maps.

Prohibited Items

For the comfort and safety of all, the following items are not permitted inside the arena:

  • Alcohol
  • Aluminum cans, thermoses, and glass bottles
  • Artificial noisemakers, airhorns, and whistles
  • Beach balls, frisbees, bats, clubs or any projectile
  • Clothing or signs displaying explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization toward any person(s)
  • Coolers and ice chests
  • Cameras and audio recording devices
  • Drones
  • Face coverings (masks that cover more than just the mouth and nose)
  • Fireworks, lighters and vapes
  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Large stadium seats or camp chairs
  • Laser Pens/Pointers
  • Personal heaters
  • Poles, selfie-sticks, tripods, and monopods
  • Weapons* (knives, pepper spray, mace, chains, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, etc)
        *Except as expressly permitted by Utah State Law and Utah Valley University
